Jairo Da Silva joined JDT for season 2025/26
Johor Darul Ta’zim have strengthened their attacking with the official signing of Brazilian striker Jairo Da Silva, a proven goal-scorer with experience across Europe and South America.
The announcement was made on Sunday via the club’s official social media platform, Johor Southern Tigers, featuring images of the 33-year-old forward donning the JDT jersey inside the team’s dressing room, symbolizing the beginning of his new journey with the Southern Tigers.
“Welcome to the home of the Southern Tigers, Jairo Da Silva,” JDT wrote in their welcome post.
Jairo arrives in Johor following a standout season with Pafos FC, where he played a pivotal role in helping the club clinch the Cypriot First Division title for the first time in its history. During the 2024/25 season, the Brazilian netted 10 goals and provided 5 assists, underlining his ability to both finish and create chances in crucial moments.
With a career that spans prestigious clubs including PAOK Salonika (Greece), Hajduk Split (Croatia), Botafogo (Brazil), and several other notable teams, Jairo brings with him a wealth of international experience and a reputation for being a dynamic and reliable forward.
