Jing Hong faced India’s Ayush Shetty in a competitive second-round match. Demonstrating solid technique and composure, he claimed victory in straight sets, winning 21-15, 21-17 in 39 minutes.
The win marks a significant milestone for the Malaysian shuttler as he aims to progress further in the prestigious tournament.
Next, Jing Hong faces a formidable challenge as he prepares to meet South Korea’s Jeon Hyeok-Jin in the Round of 16 tomorrow, January 30.
